AnimalhealthEurope is a signatory of the global ‘Animal health sector commitments and actions on antibiotic use’.

We advocate the responsible use of veterinary antibiotics to manage animal disease, and act accordingly to maintain their value as a therapeutic tool. To address the global health challenge of the development of bacterial resistance to these important tools – animal medicines companies and organisations, along with veterinary associations have agreed a set of five principles and practical actions.

This commitment is supported by over 200 companies and associations, and 700,000 veterinarians worldwide.
