The Belgian Presidency is holding a one-day symposium ‘Call to Care for Animal Welfare’, with the aim of putting animal welfare higher on the European agenda and encourage the European Union towards further review and paying more structural attention to animals.

Animal welfare covers a wide range of topics. A number of topics where improvement is still desirable will be explained and critiqued in more practical terms during the event.
