Alexis Schütz and Eglė Rapaliutė join the secretariat for AnimalhealthEurope

AnimalhealthEurope has this month welcomed Alexis Schütz and Eglė Rapaliutė to the now 10-person team.


Alexis Schütz, a Belgian national, has taken on the role of Public Affairs Officer following a six-month internship supporting the informal stakeholder platform known as European Livestock Voice. Alexis has a background in political communications and psychology. His previous experience includes coordination of a campaign across French-speaking Belgium around the 2024 European elections and an internship in the European Parliament with a Belgian MEP.


Eglė Rapaliutė, a Lithuanian national, is taking on the role of Technical Manager. Eglė is a veterinarian by training and has worked in the fields of both companion animals and dairy cattle. She has several years of experience in clinical research, R&D and animal health, including a two-year stint as Veterinary Epidemiology Resident at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. Her most recent research work focused on animal husbandry, sustainability and GHG mitigation.


Both Alexis and Eglė are welcome additions to the technical and public affairs teams, as well as to the secretariat as a whole.
