6.1 General

Our social media channels have been created to share information with you and to allow you to communicate with us and about us. AnimalhealthEurope welcomes your thoughts, views, opinions and comments on the posts, photos or other items that AnimalhealthEurope places on the social media channels and you may share what we place on the social media channels, provided that you do not amend it and that you cite us as the source. If you access AnimalhealthEurope social media channels, you do so at your own risk and to the largest extent permitted by applicable law, AnimalhealthEurope is not responsible for any losses or other damage you suffer as a result of its use.

AnimalhealthEurope’s social media channels are subject to the terms applicable to such social platforms, and you undertake to comply mutatis mutandis to such terms. In addition, your use of AnimalhealthEurope’s social media channels is subject to AnimalhealthEurope’s Terms of Use and Guidelines posted by AnimalhealthEurope on such platforms as well as these Terms of Use.

6.2 Users Submissions

You agree to use AnimalhealthEurope’s social media channels only for lawful purposes. When posting content please be polite, respectful, relevant, accurate where stating facts and civil to others, even if your views differ.

You may not upload, post or transmit any material:

(a) that is threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, indecent, offensive, pornographic, abusive, liable to incite racial hatred, discriminatory, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, in breach of privacy, which may cause annoyance or inconvenience, or otherwise objectionable material; or

You understand and acknowledge that you are responsible for whatever content you submit, including its legality, reliability and appropriateness.

By uploading, posting or otherwise transmitting material, you warrant that the material does not breach any right of third party and in particular that it is your own or is in the public domain or otherwise free of proprietary or other restrictions and that you have the right to post it on AnimalhealthEurope’s social media channels.

If we consider the material transmitted by you to be inappropriate for any reason, we may choose to refrain, in our sole discretion, from posting or deleting such material from the relevant social media channel(s) (although we shall not be required to do so). AnimalhealthEurope reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to all or any of our social media channels in the event that you fail to comply with these Terms of Use or AnimalhealthEurope’s Terms of Use and Guidelines posted by AnimalhealthEurope on its social media channels.

6.3 Exclusion of Liability of Third Parties Content

Users of AnimalhealthEurope’s social media channels may post views, opinions and comments in reaction to AnimalhealthEurope’s materials and your materials. Any of such materials, other than the content provided by AnimalhealthEurope, are solely the views, opinions and responsibility of the users submitting them and do not reflect AnimalhealthEurope’s views or opinions.

We aim for open, respectful communication on the relevant topics within our social media channels. While, where possible, AnimalhealthEurope conducts moderation. However, AnimalhealthEurope can neither review all material before it is posted nor ensure prompt removal of objectionable material after it has been posted. 1 General Data Protection Regulation

We respect the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of 14 April 2016. AnimalhealthEurope is the data controller of this website.

Your access and use of this Site constitutes your agreement to this online privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”), which may be amended from time to time. 1.1.2 Legitimate Interest Contacts

We also rely on the legitimate interest legal basis for some processing, which applies to the following:

  • Where you are an established member of AnimalhealthEurope and we are contacting you about our activities.
  • We consider that we have a legitimate interest in continuing to contact you by email, post and/or telephone once you have provided your details and there is no overriding prejudice to you by our use of your data in this way and for these purposes subject always to our carrying out appropriate checks.

1.2 Collection of Aggregate Information

We may also collect aggregate information and statistics (“Aggregate Information”) for the purpose of monitoring the Site usage in order to help us develop the Site and our services. These statistics are non-personally identifiable / anonymous information about you and will therefore not include information that can be used to identify any individual.
