Animal health and welfare are deeply interconnected, but does one necessarily come before the other? This webinar will explore the dynamic relationship between animal health and welfare in the EU.
Veterinarians, policymakers, and industry representatives will discuss the challenges and opportunities in ensuring optimal welfare for dogs and cats in the EU. From providing veterinary advice, to ensuring access to vaccines and other health products for pet well-being, the panel will examine how different stakeholders contribute to improving animal health and welfare across Europe.
Panelists:
- Veronika Vrecionová, MEP Rapporteur on the Proposal on the welfare of dogs and cats and their traceability, European Parliament
- Pierre Sultana, Public Affairs Director, AnimalhealthEurope
- Nancy De Briyne, Executive Director, Federation of Veterinarians of Europe
- Iwona Mertin, Companion Animals Leader, Eurogroup for Animals
This webinar will provide a platform for stakeholders to exchange insights and strategies to strengthen the link between animal health and welfare and discuss how the Commission proposal can ensure a future where both the health and welfare dogs and cats are prioritised accordingly.
