88 million homes in Europe include at least one pet

In Europe there are around 110 million cats, 90 million dogs, 52 million birds, 30 million small mammals, 15 million aquaria and 9 million reptiles

A recent survey found that 97% of doctors say there are health benefits to owning a pet.
