Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine as they try to protect their families, friends and animals.

We welcome the derogation from the European Commission to allow EU member states to authorise entry for pets accompanying Ukrainian refugees without prior application for an individual permit. Some further helpful information for people fleeing Ukraine with their pets can be found on the IFAW website.
